To proceed with an Invention Review, full payment is required upfront. Once payment is received, we will send you our Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) for signing within 24 hours. After the NDA is completed, you’ll receive a detailed questionnaire to provide essential information about your product. Once we have gathered all necessary details, our team will begin the Invention Review process. Your review will be completed and delivered within 7-10 days.

Our goal is to provide you with the information and insights you need to make informed decisions about your product development journey, regardless of where you ultimately decide to take your idea.

3How long will the Invention Review take?

The duration of the Invention Review may differ based on the intricacy of your idea and the extent of the review. Nonetheless, we strive to complete the review process promptly within a 7 days with the Honest Reviews typically completed within 2 days.

We recognise that time is crucial in developing a new product; hence, we put in our best effort to give you comprehensive and timely feedback on your idea.

4Will you offer suggestions for our Invention to improve on the idea?

Absolutely.

As part of the Invention Review process, our team will evaluate your idea from all angles, including manufacturing and cost considerations. If we identify areas where changes can be made to improve the manufacturing process or reduce costs without sacrificing quality or functionality, we'll provide you with recommendations on how to make those changes.

Additionally, we'll also provide suggestions on potential design changes that may improve the product and save you money in the long run. Our goal is to help you develop a high-quality product that is cost-effective to manufacture and has the best possible chance of success in the market.

5Will you tell us what manufacturing processes we need to use?

Yes, as part of the Invention Review process, we'll provide you with guidance on the manufacturing processes that may be best suited for your product.

We'll work closely with you to understand your unique needs and requirements and provide recommendations based on those factors.

6Should I patent my idea before Invention Review?

As the customer, it is your choice when to file a patent.

There is no right or wrong answer whether to file a patent before or after the Invention Review. However, it is important to keep in mind that filing before the development process may result in incorrect details or features based on the final product design. Filing a patent is a complicated and time-consuming process, and it may not always be the best initial action.

At Invention Steps, we specialise in product development but cannot review certain products due to technical complexity, regulatory restrictions, or feasibility concerns. These include software and AI-based products, pharmaceutical items, hazardous materials, weapons, automotive modifications, gambling-related inventions, and sci-fi or perpetual motion concepts.
